Avian

Birds require specific care and experienced handling, as stress-free as possible. They are very effective at hiding illness or injury and should be presented for veterinary assessment at the first signs of a problem, such as changes in demeanour, posture, faecal consistency or activity levels.

Regular health checks are important to maintain beak, feather and nail health, assess body condition, and obtain husbandry/nutritional advice. When required we work closely with avian specialist Dr Bob Doneley from the University of Queensland Veterinary Medical Centre.
