Pocket pets

We are skilled and well equipped to treat your beloved little pets and we love taking care of them.

Regular vet checks are a very important part of caring for these unique creatures. Despite their diminutive size, they can be very stoic and hide disease easily. Therefore, it is important to keep a close eye on their demeanour, activity levels and eating/toileting habits. Bring them in for a check up at the first inkling of a problem. We offer specialised anaesthetic and monitoring equipment to cater for their delicate needs. Our knowledgeable and experienced team will ensure they receive the best care.

Ferrets

Ferrets are playful, inquisitive and social by nature which makes them wonderful companions. They can experience various health issues such as dental disease, gastric ulcers, various infections, as well as the more worrying adrenal and pancreatic diseases.

Rabbits

Rabbits have a curious and gentle nature. They are social animals that love attention and can even be litter trained. Common health concerns to watch for in rabbits include dental problems, gastrointestinal stasis, respiratory infections and ear mites.

Guinea Pigs

Guinea pigs are very gentle creatures with unique personalities. Common health issues in guinea pigs include dental disease, tumours, skin irritations and digestive issues.

Rats & Mice

Contrary to popular belief, rats are fastidiously clean animals, highly intelligent playful creatures that can create a strong bond with their human caregiver. Mice are more delicate and can be wonderful little pets with the right stimulation and care. There are a few health issues to look out for when it comes to our littlest companions such as respiratory infections, dental problems, skin infections and tumours.
